Flaine is the highest resort of the 5 villages which make up the Grand Massif (Samoens, Les Carroz, Morillon and Sixt being the other 4). Located in a snowbowl at 1600m, Flaine is renowned for benefitting from a long ski season lasting till the end of April.
The resort is also family friendly with a large nursery slope area in the centre and an impressive variety of slopes catering for all levels of skier. Although Flaine is renowned for its skiing it also boasts several great activities such as the ice driving circuit and an 18 hole golf course. The centre is well equipped with a range of shops, restaurants and bars and has a unique atmosphere with several large sculptures by artists such as Picasso.
