Its quality snow coverage is due to the very favourable geographical situation of the massif in addition to the Microclimate of Lake Geneva and Mont-Blanc (falling cold air).
At an altitude of 1140 m, Les Carroz will welcome you into its green and white wooded landscape. You are in a mid-altitude snowy area covered with pine trees, chalets and small apartment complexes.
Between 700 and 800 m, Morillon, Samoëns and Sixt, nestling at the heart of the Haut-Giffre Valley, plays host to you in superb Alpine towns. Here, you are in a protected valley, the home of chalets d'alpage, village homes and stone houses from the middle-ages. Over the past years huge investment has gone into crating lift links from the authentic villages up to the higher altitude resorts and ski areas allowing people to experience true alpine village life and the thrills that the altitude ski areas have to offer.
