Sustainable well-being

A new type of sustainable well-being

A new type of sustainable well-being

Highly aware of the stakes of sustainable development, our group makes every effort to improve the energy performance of our buildings by a variety of means from insulation to water usage through energy management.

With a careful eye on the specifications of each development, MGM works as closely with architects as it does with thermal and fluid experts & consultant engineers whose support today is essential to provide clients with high and even very high energy performance (HPE &THPE) homes.

It is no longer just a matter of offering reduced energy consumption and environmental protection as an option but as a sustainable reality. Fully aware of what is at stake today and tomorrow, MGM equips its new complexes with:
- Solar captors to pre-heat the hot water;
- So-called "warm" roofs which is external roof insulation (above the roof) to limit heat loss;
- two thermostats (rather than just one) in all apartments for better control of the ambient temperatures in different rooms;
- a system known as "GTC" (Gestion Technique Centralisée or centralised technical management) which enables water and electricity consumption in all the apartments to be managed from the building's reception, including for résidences de tourisme;
- balconies are detached to overcome the thermal bridge;
- "Aerator" taps to limit and optimise water usage;
- "argon" double glazing (with gas instead of air between the 2 panes of glass!);

These features and facilities are augmented by external insulation increased by more than 20 %, insulation to all joinery reveals and the use of urban hot water system as soon as this is possible...

Real commitments for the well-being of clients which also live up to their expectations for environmental considerations!
MGM has recognised in Catherine Destivelle and Antoine Dénériaz, legendary performers who represent the qualities and image supported by the group.

Because it wanted to share with these top-level sportspersons its passion for the mountains, MGM organised a lecture and discussion in November 2010 with Catherine Destivelle on the topic "Preparation and decision making in extreme situations and managing the unexpected and signed a partnership agreement with Antoine Dénériaz.

- Antoine Dénériaz, Olympic downhill champion in 2006, is a skier without equal, born and bred in Haute-Savoie, who has remained true to the humility that characterises both him and his region, values that compare at all levels with those of MGM.

- Catherine Destivelle, world rock-climbing champion, endowed with a spirit of enterprise and strength of character that finds an echo in the world of business where companies are always having to find the necessary resources to continue their climb, including in the most complex situations.
MGM: Why this partnership with the MGM group?

Antoine DENERIAZ
: It's a question of coming together, of men initially... I met David Giraud on the pistes of the Grand Massif and we got on well! Then, as a native of Haute Savoie, I was already very familiar with the residential complexes built by the MGM group, the quality of the product, the quality of the services... My Father being a carpenter, I've always loved timber, authentic materials, and today I'm cultivating that love of a job well done! You know, when I was a kid, we lived above my Father's workshop and as soon as I'd got my boots off, I'd go and join him. It wasn't long before I had a hammer and nails in my hand! This new partnership didn't come about by chance...
