Les Portes du Soleil is a Franco-Swiss ski area comprising 12 ski resorts: Avoriaz, Châtel, Abondance, La Chapelle d'Abondance, Les Gets, Morzine, St Jean d'Aulps, Montriond on the French side, and Champéry, Morgins, Torgon, Val-d'Illiez - Les Crosets - Champoussin on the Swiss side.

A natural and protected ski area

In Les Portes du Soleil, you will find a real natural reserve of powder snow. The area’s situation between Lake Geneva and Mont-Blanc means it enjoys a climate conducive to quality snow coverage. Its 650 km of ski slopes slalom amongst forests and Alpine meadows. The discreet lifts are perfectly integrated into the area’s wooded landscape.

Dominated by the Dents du Midi mountain peaks which reach an altitude of 3257 metres, Les Portes du Soleil ski area benefits from an exceptional position in the Alps.
