Interior design and finishing touches

L'Ecrin de Jade à Chamonix - Architecture et finitions

The rigour of the mountains, contrasts with the softness of the cosy and snug apartments. The challenge lies in blending the outside environment with the inside, which is simply its natural extension. Each residence must exist in its own right and not resemble another. The only common denominator: the MGM identity. Combining comfort with elegance, functionality with aesthetics and finding the same expertise outdoors and indoors. Putting a subtle modern twist on mountain life, transforming simple living spaces into cosy homes. The interior architects must be designers and decorators. The current trend is to associate different materials, sometimes surprisingly but ultimately harmoniously, to give charm and character to the residences.

Wood, a partner for life

MGM skilfully blends in basic materials such as wood, proudly showing off its story through the marks of time. We explore two very different approaches; on the one hand a tribute to the rustic, mountain spirit, where wood recovered from old buildings is meticulously restored, brushed and sand-blasted to reveal its true nature. On the other hand, we opt for a more contemporary aesthetic by painting or lacquering. This approach is not limited to old, traditional wood: we also use modern materials to give our creations an even richer, more refined feel.

The essence of a project is the perfect harmony between the beautiful, useful and fair.

The subtle elegance of associations

Wood, however rough it is, permeates the walls, the floors, and the ceilings, creating a traditional atmosphere where it blends effortlessly with granite and glass, giving a captivating mineral feel. MGM has a fondness for associations such as the combination of metal and wrought iron. Mixing soft, plush fabrics with light, sheer ones,  creating somewhat surprising, but ultimately harmonious combinations, adding a touch of charm and character to the residences.
We call on architects and interior designers who all add their own personal and artistic style to give our apartments the touch of authenticity that makes them so appealing.

Generously sized spaces for optimal comfort

The apartments stand out by the ingenious design, optimising space.  They all come with an underground car park, a cellar, and a ski locker. The interior decoration is of impeccable quality and the use of wood, local stone, sandstone and earthenware give the apartments a chic, refined feel. MGM has many different types of apartment; from 2 rooms, to 5-roomed duplexes. All come with equipment and services that will make your purchase even more of a pleasure. A commitment to excellence which guarantees the long-term value of your property.

A visual and emotional experience

Acquiring an apartment in an MGM residence is experiencing the history that emanates from the walls. We place great importance on the quality of the materials used and work with craftsmen carefully chosen for their originality and creativity. You will be able to enjoy the major works of art that adorn our halls, swimming pools and bar and lounge areas, as well as the temporary exhibitions that highlight mountain culture from the world over.
