Ari Vatanen on the starting line !

Notice to all lovers of rally, vintage cars and exceptional vehicles : Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September, Rendez-Vous in Châtel for the 3rd edition of the historic Châtel climbing race.

Starting signal ! A race of 3.30 km on a dedicated closed road, 110 racers with the most prestigious cars, Lotus Seven MK IV, Porsche 911 SC, Alpine A310 V6, Ford Cortina, Volkswagen Kâfer 1303S et MGB V8 and many more will show off their muscles. This 3rd edition is marked by the eagerly awaited participation of the "flying Finn", the great Ari Vatanen. The Rally World Champion, with an exceptional track record, will participate in the festivities all weekend and will be on the starting line behind the wheel of a BMW 323i. At his side, the rising star of Rally Cross in France, Valentin Comte RX will drive under the colors of the Châtel ski resort.

Only made for old cars registered before December 31, 1985 and for "Young Timer" cars from 1986 to 1990 (FFSA regulated) this friendly historique race is organised by the Rallye val Association for the festivities (parade in the village, meals, concert and other animations ...) and by the "Peugeot Historic Organization" for the sporting part.

On Sunday 15th September, the test rally will start in the morning and the official race in the afternoon. A great opportunity to discover the authentic charm of the village resort of Châtel and its majestic setting, in the heart of the French-Swiss Portes du Soleil ...
