A village resort between Lake Leman and Mont-Blanc

Located a few kilometres away from the French-Swiss border, Châtel enjoys an exceptional environment. In the heart of the Abondance valley, the resort has a large number of preserved natural places. Valleys, mountain pastures, massifs, lakes, cascades... Its alpine landscapes never fail to seduce the residents and holidaymakers, whatever the season. Numerous trails invite families to discover the surroundings while breathing in the clean mountain air.

At an altitude of 1,200 m, Châtel is a traditional village in Haute-Savoie. It is particularly attractive for its character and authenticity. Its architecture, labelled as "Town of Art and History" , will delight heritage lovers. This destination is full of little-known treasures such as chalets dating from the 16th century, the neo-Gothic St Laurent church built in 1908 or the Vonnes chapel founded in 1630. These legacies of the past have enabled the resort to keep its soul and its charm of yesteryear.

The ultimate family destination

Châtel is part of the largest cross-border ski resort: Les Portes du Soleil. This includes 650 km of pistes linking 12 French and Swiss resorts. This dynamic ski area takes advantage of this massive playground to offer a wide range of leisure activities. In addition, it has the biggest mountain bike area in Europe! Families especially appreciate Châtel for its various activities which delight all generations: hiking along the Vonnes lake, walking on the bird trail from the age of 5, discovering the mountain heritage, visiting a traditional farm to try the local Abondance cheese, trail running, climbing, canyoning, paragliding, rafting... This resort-village is a promise of unforgettable holidays, under the name of conviviality!

The family is an essential value for MGM. That is why the Haute-Savoie-based constructor has chosen Châtel to launch its new residence, La Ferme de Suzanne. This residence will be elegantly placed in the residential area of Petit Châtel and will include 13 luxury flats with a very generous layout. Thanks to its south-facing aspect, the residents will have plenty of sunshine from their balconies, with a wonderful view over the valley. Located at the bottom of the slopes and close to the centre of the resort, this top-of-the-range development will be completed by this Christmas.
