73rd edition of a cycling competition in the heart of the Alps

From 30 May to 6 June 2021, 21 teams will face each other on the course of the Critérium du Dauphiné, a race considered by the cyclists as the general rehearsal before the Tour de France. The Col de Pré and Cormet de Roselend are common to both competitions this year. For the third consecutive year, the start of the race will take place in Issoire (Puy-de-Dôme). For 8 days, the cyclists will cover 1,205 km, crossing 8 regions and climbing 32 passes to reach their final destination: Les Gets. The winner will be at an altitude of 2,000 m, after a mountainous last three days in Isère, Savoie and Haute-Savoie. Eight stages mark the Critérium du Dauphiné. For the second-to-last stage on 5 June, the climbers start from Saint-Martin-Le-Vinoux and reach La Plagne after 21 laces of climbing. 171.5 km are ahead of them, 17 of which have a 7.5% incline!

La Plagne, where MGM has put down its roots with its upscale "Résidence Manaka" programme, will host the 7th and penultimate stage of the race. Take this opportunity to discover or re-discover the resort which offers a wide variety of breathtaking landscapes during the summer season.
