Nestled between the Annecy Lake, Mont-Blanc and Switzerland. Le Grand-Bornand is located in the Aravis massif, the perfect natural border between Savoie and Haute-Savoie, where three other villages are active in winter and summer: La Clusaz, Manigod and Saint-Jean-de-Sixt. At an altitude of 1,000 m, the resort has a breathtaking view of spectacular landscapes, such as the Bouchet valley, which bears witness to its unspoilt nature. Known as the pearl of the Aravis, this village owes its typical Haut-Savoyard charm to its grenette, its church, its square and its local shops.
Dynamic and welcoming, the resort-village has been awarded several labels: "Famille Plus", "Accueil vélo", "Qualité tourisme", "Natura 2000", etc. Its family atmosphere is all around. It offers numerous activities for families all year round: Alpine or Nordic skiing, biathlon, glacier hiking, ice climbing, snowshoeing, ice rink, pony sledging, bicycle skiing in winter or mountain biking, climbing, via ferrata, paragliding, golf, yoga, adventure courses, trail running, white water sports in summer. If there is no lack of leisure activities in Grand-Bornand, there is no lack of events either! In particular, the village hosts the Biathlon World Cup, the number one charity event in the French mountains, "Glisse en Cœur", and the long-awaited children's festival, "Au bonheur des mômes".
New MGM residence in Grand-Bornand: Les Chalets de Joy
MGM Constructeur has chosen Le Grand-Bornand to host its new upscale development, Les Chalets de Joy. Located in the heart of the village, a stone's throw from the shops and at the bottom of the La Joyère cable car, the tourist residence will have a prime location. Its architecture, both modern and authentic, will allow the residence to integrate perfectly into its environment. Comprising three buildings on a human scale, this development will include 52 luxury flats (1 to 2 bedrooms, from 40 to 80 m²), all equipped, furnished and decorated with great attention to detail. Future owners will enjoy an uninterrupted view of the village and the Aravis mountains from their balcony. In order to offer a maximum comfort to the residents and their guests, a wellness area will be built into the residence: swimming pool, children's pool, hot tubs, sauna, hammam, spa centre... Les Chalets de Joy will be opening its doors next Christmas.
