New beginners area in the Grand Montets

This winter, the ski area of the high valley, a ski play area for skiers and freeriders from all over the world, will boast new equipment.

In addition to the redesigning of the Lognan plateau and the installation of the new 6 seater chairlift, the Tabe lift, a beginners area with 2 drag lifts has been created to enlarge the offering for beginner skiers.

A real plus for families wanting to improve their ability in one of the most well known ski areas in the world!

The Portes du Soleil

The Portes du Soleil
The « Cosy Lift » of Pierre Longue

The4 seater chairlift of Pierre Longue has been replaced by a 6 seater chairlift, The Cosy lift by the company Poma.

Located in Pre la Joux, it takes skiers and non skiers to Plaine Dranse, one of the liaisons the most frequented to access the Portes du Soleil area.

After having benefitted from superb slopes in Chatel, it is at Plaine Dranse, that ski enthusiasts can rejoin the French resorts of Avoriaz, Morzine and Les Gets.

The Grand Massif

New slopes in the Coulouvrier sector

Last winter, the ski area of the Grand Massif installed a new chairlift : the TSD6 Coulouvrier with its base station at 11 60 m alt in the ‘Combe de Coulouvrier’ and the summit station at 2105 m alt at the ‘Tete des Saix’.

This winter, two new red slopes have been added to compliment the ski area. Now with 142 slopes, 67 lifts, totalling over 265 km of ski slopes.

The « Espace San-Bernardo »
Opening of a new sector in La Rosiere

This winter, the La Rosiere ski area - Espace San Bernardo opens a new sector: Mont Valaisan

Located on the french side of the ski area, on the right handside of the fortifiation the ‘ Fort de la Redoute Ruinee’, this investment has created 5 new red slopes, aceessed by two 6 seater chairlifts : Moulins & Mont Valaisan.

This extension offers more challenging skiing and new freeride possibilities. The highest point is on the French side at 2 800 m alt with views of Mont Blanc.

Espace Killy

The « Espace Killy » area
New Panorama for the Grande-Motte cable care

In order to enable more people to experience the highest summits and discover the riches on offer and the Alpine spleandour, the ski lift company of Tignes has developed a new concept in partnership with the Vanoise National Park. They opened in the Autumn a panoramic cable car with a terrace on the roof of the cabin, baptised ‘Altitude experience’, a unique 360 voyage and at 3 456 m altitude!

New chairlift and first luge all connected

The opening of the new 6 seater Mottet chairlift, allows you to access the Chamois area with some challenging slopes on either the black slope the Mottet or the red slope. The chairlift is accessible to non skiers to benefit from the panorama with a pic-nic area the summit of the Cheval Noir which is mythical in the Morel Valley.

This winter, Valmorel opened the first interconnected luge run, in Doucy. Accompanied by the ‘Ptit Loup’, the mascot, children from 6 to 12 can experience an adventure n the slopes (in conjuction with a mobile app).
